Most venue coolers hold enough beer. That part of the specification is arithmetic, and a keg count is the one number everybody agrees on. The harder question is how many people can work inside the room at once, and how far each of them has to reach.
Crowds arrive within the same half hour, and nobody rebuilds a keg wall between the second and third quarters, which is why venues that keep beer flowing on game day treat the cooler as part of the service line. A layout that follows the season's average keg count will hold that count on an event night and put half of it behind the other half. Congestion arrives first, in a room that is technically full to spec.
Shelf depth sets the reach, and it outlives every other choice in the room. That decision belongs to whoever draws the shelving. Aisle width is the last dimension a drawing settles, and the first one an event exposes, so confirm it at full load rather than on an empty plan. Material substitution belongs on the same list, since cutting the shelving line on price gets expensive fast in a cold, damp room. A rack starts to sag. Rust creeps into the joints. Structural steel holds its shape under load, where aluminum flexes, and that difference only appears years after the invoice cleared.
